Chef-Restaurateur, David Anthony Sparacino, is owner of La Riserva, which is located at the Iron
gate Marketplace on historic Main Street in downtown Hendersonville. David specializes in contemporary Italian cuisine, which is innovative yet true to Old World tradition.
Former Executive Chef at La Grotta Cucina d’Italia in Asheville, NC, Sparacino also apprenticed with Chef Francois Ternes at the Asheville Downtown City Club. Featured on the Food Network’s “Best Of”, Sparacino was former Executive Chef of the Charlotte, NC, restaurant, Bijoux Brasserie. This talented chef has worked and traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, working and developing skills with an array of talented chefs. Trained in classical Italian and French, David attended the Cast-Ailementi School for Advanced Pastry Arts in Brescia, Italy, as well as the L’Institute Paul Bocuse – Les Arte Culinaires in Lyon, France. Chef David is an Advanced Food and Wine Pairing graduate from the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, California, and is a member of several food and wine clubs and organizations worldwide.
David and his wife, Dale, who is General Manager, live in Hendersonville with their Great Danes, “Bella” and “Bacchus”.
